We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.
All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States.
The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States.
The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.
The Congress shall assemble at least once in every Year.
Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members.
The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services.
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States.
No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States.

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.
He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years.
The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President.
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States.
He shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.
The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate.
He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union.
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.
The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour.
The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution.
The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment; shall be by Jury.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies.
No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason.
The supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction in all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls.
The Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed.
In all the other Cases mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact.

Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State.
The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.
A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, shall on Demand of the executive Authority...be delivered up.
No Person held to Service or Labour in one State...escaping into another, shall...be discharged from such Service or Labour.
New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union.
The Congress shall have Power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States.
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land.
The Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
The Senators and Representatives... shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution.
No religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same.
done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven.
In Witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names.
The Opinion of this Convention, that it should afterwards be submitted to a Convention of Delegates, chosen in each State by the People thereof.
The Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers.
The ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.
That after such Publication the Electors should be appointed, and the Senators and Representatives elected.
The Congress, together with the President, should, without Delay, proceed to execute this Constitution.
